I always loved playing darts, steel tip that is.  Originally my experience with soft tip darts was limited to playing with house darts at a local pub or bar (which did not have any steel tip boards).   I hated how the tips kept breaking and the darts felt way too light. Every time someone wanted to play at one of these places I always declined. 

But then one day, I played with a friend’s set of professional darts and I was amazed with the difference.   They felt just like steel tip darts, the weight was better, the balance was dead on, and the tips were better quality.  We played for several hours and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Another added bonus is that no one had to keep score, because the machine did all the work for us!

After that experience, I bought my first of several soft tip darts.   My newest set allows me to change back and forth from steel and soft tip (convertible darts), which is great because now I love playing both styles of my favorite game!
